China (People’s Republic of China) is located in East Asia. China has common borders with many countries (Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, North Korea, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) and is washed by the waters of the South China Sea. This country is the third largest in the world, has powerful mineral reserves and a large land fund.

China’s economic development

At the present stage of economic development, China plays one of the key roles in the global trading market. This country is called the “factory of the world”, because it is the largest exporter and leader in the gross cost of industrial products. GDP here ranks second in the world and is growing rapidly in the future.

China is an agro-industrial country where the textile industry is actively developing (it ranks first in the world in terms of the number of finished products), instrument-making, oil-refining, chemical, and aviation industries. Well-developed mechanical engineering (production of cars, agricultural machines, various machine tools has been established) and the electronics industry. The state is one of the world leaders in terms of coal production (about 1/3 of the world’s reserves) and electricity production. The country is rich in mineral and fuel resources: iron ore, polymetal ores, mercury, asbestos, etc.

In agriculture, many agricultural systems have formed due to different climatic conditions. The most productive in this area are the provinces of Sichuan (together with Hunan is the largest rice producer in the country) and Guangdong. In the subtropical regions, fruits are grown (tangerines, oranges, pineapples) for export. China is considered the world leader in the production of cotton, soybeans, and tobacco.

In general, most of all, China exports electric goods, non-ferrous metals, furniture, rice, coal. Light industry goods are in special demand in the foreign market. They import optical and medical equipment, mineral fuel, and vehicles. The largest trading partners for China are the United States, Japan, European Union countries, Russia and South Korea.

Ukrainian-Chinese trade and economic relations

Economic cooperation between countries at the legislative level is regulated by the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of China on trade and economic cooperation, signed in 1992. The states agreed to establish a regime of maximum assistance in matters of paying taxes on goods imported into their territory. Trade between countries at this stage is actively developing. China is considered an important strategic partner for Ukraine.

The following goods are most exported from Ukraine to China: energy minerals, wood, plant products, crops, non-ferrous metals and iron ores.

Products from China are very popular due to the large assortment and low prices. The main goods that are brought to Ukraine are clothing, household appliances, electric machines, small parts, chemical products, plastic and plastic products.

Methods of goods delivery from China

The fastest and best option for delivering a small amount of cargo is air transportation. Air delivery has several important advantages: efficiency, safety (send cargo by air – a delivery method that minimizes the possibility of damage to the goods), the frequency of flights. This option is best suited for the delivery of goods that quickly deteriorate and lose market value. Delivering cargo by air is an ideal way to transport particularly fragile cargo. In China, there are more than 50 airports capable of handling goods and sending them to the most remote places on the planet. The largest airports from which you can send air cargo are located in the cities of Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai. Thanks to efficiency, it is possible to deliver air cargo within a few days.

Given the price, the best option for delivering large volumes of cargo is container shipping. Sea shipping is especially beneficial for those who need to transport bulk cargo that cannot be shipped by plane or by land. This transportation option is also beneficial for the transportation of consumer goods and clothing. This product does not deteriorate, so it can be transported without problems for a long period of time. The containers with the goods must be sealed, so the customer can be sure of the reliability of transport. China has a well-developed network of railways and highways, which provides access to ports. Port infrastructure is growing rapidly and provides most of the domestic trade. The largest ports here are Shanghai, Ningbo, Dalian, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Qinhuangdao, Guangzhou with Huangpu. This type of cargo delivery takes from 30 to 45 days.

For transporting large quantities of goods, rail is another option. It is possible to transport goods in bulk or in containers.
