Shippers do not always know that the registration of the air waybill does not imply an automatic insurance of the cargoes. They believe that in case of any damage, loss of their cargo, they will receive full financial compensation.

Under the existing legal conventions governing the conditions of carriage of cargoes by air (the Warsaw Convention and Hague Protocol), the carrier’s liability is limited to the estate and paying for damage or loss of cargo up to 20,00 USD per kg.

In order to repair a damage totally, it is necessary to insure cargoes.
