Mexico is an important trading partner of Ukraine in Latin America and is second only to Brazil. On December 19, 2004, the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Ukraine and Mexico entered into force. This agreement regulates bilateral relations between Ukraine and Mexico in the economic sphere.
Ukraine exports ferrous metals, cereals, fertilizers, paper and cardboard, salt and sulfur to Mexico. In turn, since Mexico is an industrial-agrarian country, its main sectors of the economy are: chemical, tobacco, food, oil, mining, light industry, and tourism.
Ukraine mainly imports from Mexico: vehicles, nuclear reactors, electrical machines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, pharmaceutical products, edible fruits and nuts, optical devices.
FEATURES OF THE TRANSPORT SYSTEM OF MEXICO
Mountain ranges occupy a significant part of the territory of Mexico, so more recently, the lack of convenient transport links slowed down the economic development of the country. Today, the length of roads is approximately 250 thousand kilometers. It should be noted that only a third of them have a quality road surface. A feature of Mexico’s road system is that the relative majority of roads are focused on the direction to the United States. Therefore, the best road connection is in the north-south direction.
Sea freight accounts for more than 80% of Mexico’s foreign policy. Currently, there are over 107 seaports in the country. The main sea freight goes through Tampico, Veracruz, Mazatlan, La Paz, Santa Rosalia. The largest center of marine tourism is the port of Acapulco.
Shipping by sea is the most economical way of transportation, but not profitable in terms of terms. Shipping by water will not be profitable only in the case of transportation of urgent and perishable goods.
Container shipping from Ukraine to Mexico will take more than a month – from 35 to 40 days. Multimodal transportation will help to save time significantly – a combination of sea, road and rail transport allows you to deliver cargo in just 25-30 days. For cargo delivery by air you need approximately 5-7 days.
To date, the most developed transport system of flights of both international and domestic communication. In Mexico, there are more than 2 thousand airports, 55 of which have international status.
Taking into account the mountainous terrain of the country, it should be noted that most of the production is located in the central, mountainous part of Mexico. Here is the Benito Juarez Alpine Airport. This airport is very busy, but delivery is possible to any international airport by direct or connecting flights.
AIR CARGO DELIVERY TO MEXICO
Considering all the above, the fastest, most reliable and safe way to deliver goods is air transportation. The only disadvantage is the high cost, compared, for example, with sea delivery, which is several times cheaper.
Air transportation is a fairly convenient way that allows you to transport small batches of goods in the shortest possible lines. Delivery will take approximately 5-7 days, taking into account the time for delivery of cargo to and from the airport, as well as the passage of all customs procedures. Air delivery will ensure complete safety and integrity of the cargo.
