Prime Minister claims reduction of port charges to raise Ukraine’s ports competitiveness

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, under the policy of development of transit potential of Ukraine and the use of logistics capabilities of the state, has approved a decision to cut port charges and duties from January 1, 2018. The relevant decision was taken during the Government’s sitting on Wednesday, September 6.

Commenting on the adopted decision, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman stressed: “We are going to cut port charges. This is within our capacities. Our ports are expensive, and businesses repeatedly raise an issue of reducing fees, and we are reducing the fees to make ports more competitive.”
