Ukrainian aircraft An-225 “Mriya” during its visit to Chile set a new record for the carriage of cargo, weighing 182 tonnes, delivering from Sao Paulo (Brazil), Santiago (Chile) electric turbines weighing 155 tonnes, which was in a special 27-ton structure. This is the second record by weight monocargo ever transported by air-Ukrainian giant and the first load record for South America.

As for the record monocargo for the whole world, “Mriya” delivered it in 2009. Then generator weighing 174 tons, “dressed” in a special design weighing 13.6 tons, was moved from Frankfurt to Yerevan.

The weight of the maximum load, which “Mriya” had transported in 2004, equal to 247 tonnes, but it was not monocargo, but several units of construction equipment.
