The state Inspectorate of the Republic of Uzbekistan for supervision of flight safety (Gosavianadzor) and the State aviation service of Ukraine on Tuesday, December 12, agreed on the restoration of direct regular flights between Tashkent and Kiev. This information was confirmed by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Embassy noted that the results of the negotiations in Tashkent the aeronautical authorities of the two countries signed a Protocol, which provides for the resumption of direct regular flights between Tashkent and Kiev with a frequency of two flights a week.

In addition, the parties also agreed on the agreement, code-sharing (the joint operation of air lines).

According to media reports, in may 2015, Uzbekistan Airways has temporarily suspended flights on route Tashkent–Kiev–Tashkent because of the lack of agreement between aviation authorities of Ukraine and Uzbekistan on the use of contractual airlines.

In September 2015 it became known that the Uzbek airline closes its office in Kiev. We will remind, earlier it was reported that between Ukraine and Malta in 2018 will start direct flights.
